Forming Hub

The central program’s functions

Simufact Forming HUB since V14

The Forming Hub provides all application modules with the needed central non-application-specific program functions.

The Forming Hub is not stand-alone, but only distributed bundled with other application modules, which extend the Forming Hub with application-specific functions.

The Forming Hub comes with a user-friendly graphical user interface, two complementary solver technologies (the finite element solver and the finite volume solver) and the Simufact.materials extensive material database.

Simufact.materials contains the following material data:

  • Light metals (aluminum, magnesium, titanium)
  • Steels (carbon, low and highly alloyed, austenitic and dual phase steels)
  • Non-ferrous heavy metals (copper, brass, bronze)
  • Zinc alloys
  • Heavy metals (lead, cadmium, zirconium, uranium)
  • Special alloys (nickel-copper alloys, nickel-chromium alloys and others)

Super alloys (Inconel, Hastelloy, Waspaloy, Incoloy, Nimonic)In addition to this, typical tool steels for the characterization of elastic dies are included, too.

The Forming Hub is the basis for all the application modules which extend the Forming Hub with application-specific functions. Therefore the application modules are dependent on the Forming Hub. Likewise, the Forming Hub can only be used in combination with a specific application module and therefore comes bundled with the application modules Cold Forming , Hot Forging and Rolling.

In addition to these central functions, the Forming Hub also provides the license server and remote functionality for the usage in a multiuser environment and for the usage of a central workstation or a cluster.
